Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to present to you the best party in this year! We are celebrating 55 years of Discolab, a monthly club series taking place in Linz and Vienna. I had some of my greatest moments in my dj life at this parties, but not only thanks to the great music we dedicated ourselves to, but as well thanks to the amazing people coming to the parties. This big birthday bash is as well a way to say a thousand thanks to the amazing people working behind the scenes: The many great musicians, djs and vjs who contributed their dedication to their art and always played with an amazing spirit, the booker agents, our graphics department, the promo distributors, the people working in the clubs, behind the counters, etc etc. Thanks!

Mieze Medusa & Tenderboy
HipHop für Backpacker? EMLM (Elektronische Musik links von der Mitte) mit Rap? DIY-Eigensinn? Lyrik für den Club? Was auch immer, auf jeden Fall freuen wir uns das wunderbare Stück Musik endlich auch in Linz zu erleben. Am Ottensheim Open Air haben Mieze Medusa & Tenderboy ja schon unter Beweis gestellt, dass intelligente Lyriks und tanzbare Beats kein Widerspruch sind.

Elektro Guzzi

Wiener “Techno Tanzband” die, live & 100% analog, Tanzmusik vom feinsten zaubern. Das Rezept? Man nehme Bass, Gitarre und Schlagzeug und lässt es so richtig fein mit 110bpm dahingrooven, ihr werdet schwitzen! Im Mai releasen sie ihr erstes Album, das gemeinsam mit niemand geringerem als Patrik Pulsinger produziert wurde, beim Berliner Label macro recordings.

The Trans Ams

The Trans Ams haben sich ohnehin nie beirren lassen in ihrem Drang Zeugnis über klassischen Rock abzuliefern. Trotzdem kann sich auch in diesem Genre etwas tun, wie vor allem die mittlerweile packende Live-Performance und Tightness des wieder zu einem Quartett erstarkten “Team Rock’n Roll” zeigt, beweist und mitreisst. Weil die Spielwiese, die sie sich gewählt haben, ist ganz schön gross, und das nutzen sie aus!

Irregular Soulkitchen

Alte Bekannte in der Stadtwerkstatt, die beiden Linzer Soul & Funk Urgesteine werden euch bis in die frühen (oder gar späten?) Morgenstunden mit feinster Musik aus den 60iger und 70iger beglücken, garniert wird das ganze einer mehr als StilechtenShow an den Turntables.

Im Strom:
Die Disco also das Cafe Strom  gehört, musikalisch und programmatisch gesehen, dem Roland Von Der Aist. Jenem sympathischen Kerl mit dem besten Wirtshaus ausserhalb  von Ottensheim, nämlich in Weitersfelden. So ein guter Wirt der Roland auch ist, so schlummern auch weitere Talente, entfalten sich wenn er seine Maschinen (in diesem Falle Synths) aktiviert. Läuft die Maschinerie, kann sich der Party wohl niemand entziehen. Seine mächtigen und intelligenten Beats bringen jeglichen
Dancefloor zum Brodeln! Unterstützung holt er sich für die Nacht der Nächte aus dem umtriebigen Backlab Kollektiv und zwar  von Dj Len, Dj Krankypanky, und die Visuals von Nonook (backlab).

Mit entspannten bis treibenden Beats und druckvollem Electro-Sound stehen die beiden Künstler für eine professionelle live-performance.
